Basically, it's just a piece of aluminum foil in warm water and a tbs or so of salt. The salt acts as an electrolyte for the redox reaction. The items are simply soaked in the solution until they seem to be clean.

Have you used this method, has it worked and what do you think about it?
Silver Jewelry can be cleaned using aluminum foil, baking soda and warm water. However, this practice not recommended by the jewellers.Never aluminum foil wrap my jewelry, it may have a bad effect on the jewelry.
I have not used the method still but does it have some bad effect on the silver jewelery.
Yes I have used Aluminum foil method method. Aluminum foil is made from an aluminum alloy which contains between 92 and 99 percent aluminum. And I suggest you do not use it on the Silver Jewelery.
I remember something like that high school science class ... I think there was too much baking powder if involved.
